Having notched up their first Champions League win of the season

Having notched up their first Champions League win of the season, a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on October 18, the Amsterdammers would be brimming with confidence.

The reigning Eredivisie Champions staged an impressive show away from home and deservingly bagged all three points.

However, Ajax are struggling to achieve good results in the Dutch top tier. Occupying the sixth spot in the league table, they are trailing the league leaders AZ Alkmaar by six points.

The Amsterdam giants have been impressive at home, winning two of their four fixtures, however, their overall record of 9 played, 4 won, 4 drawn and 1 lost is far from being impressive.

Frank de Boer, De Joden head coach, expects a winning home performance from his troops.

“Feyenoord will play aggressively and put pressure on us, and we will put pressure on them. They are playing with much more confidence than last season. They are harder to beat and are playing impressively better. But, I hope to grab three points”, De Boer said while talking to the media.
